Under the title Wohngespräche (Housing Talks/ Conversations about Living) historical, present and future aspects of housing and urban coexistence are discussed in public talks with changing guests. The spectrum of topics is broad - ranging from architectural proposals, alternative approaches to urban production, theoretical engagement with the built environment to artistic perspectives. After a short introduction, the guest will present her/his position on the topic, which will be examined in the subsequent discussion.

This year's Wohngespräche will explore questions of neighborhood - as a pivotal point for the functioning or non-functioning of living together in cities. Equally central is the search for the other, both in alternative and divergent forms of housing and the other as a multiplicity of residents with different needs. We also address the scale and scalability of the housing question: How can housing also lead to the self-empowerment of individuals? What role does digitalisation play and what impact has the COVID-19 pandemic left on housing?

We will explore these and other questions in the housing talks in the summer semester 2021!
