Simone Capra graduated with honors in architecture from the University of Roma Tre. He received his PhD in architecture from the IUAV University Institute, Villard D’Honnecourt International Doctoral School.
Since 2011 he is architect and founding partner of STARTT, design pratice operating among architecture, urban design and art. stARTT is the acronym of office for architecture and territorial transformations, the choice of the name indicates a precise attitude towards the profession that identifies the project as part of a larger complex territory in which people, landscapes, cultures and economy interact.
Since 2016 he has been an Advisor for Landscape Architecture at the American Academy of Rome and since 2020 he has been an Advisor to the Jury of the Italian Architecture Award (promoted by MAXXI, Triennale di Milano and MiBACT). Since 2015 he has been teaching architectural design at Iowa State University, Rome Program (College of Design, Department of Architecture).
