Jochen Becker (Berlin) works as an author, curator and lecturer and is co-founder of
metroZones |
Center for Urban Affairs and the
station urbaner kulturen/nGbK. He curated
Chinafrika. under construction (Graz, Leipzig, Weimar, Shenzhen, Nuremberg) and accompanied the relocation of the
Düsseldorfer Theater FFT in terms of cultural policy, conceptual as well as curatorial. There he developed the long-term project
City as Factory and Place Internationale (2017-22). Most recently,
metroZones produced the exhibition
Mapping Along (Kunstraum Kreuzberg/Bethanien, Berlin, 2021) and most recently
Helle Kammer/Dunkelkammer Produktion (Scharaun Berlin, Kunstraum München, 2023). Becker is active in the
Initiative Urbane Praxis and curated the congresses SITUATION BERLIN and the
Glossary Urban Practice.
