Laboratories of the Transition
The talk will deal with socio-ecological Transition and its challenges for urban and territorial design. Through a series of recent design experiences in Europe the hypothesis of the Transition as a new biopolitical project will be unfolded and discussed.
Paola Viganò
Paola Viganò architect and urbanist, is Professor in Urban Design at the EPFL (Lausanne) and at IUAV Venice. Doctor Honoris Causa at UCL in 2016, Grand Prix de l’Urbanisme in 2013, she received the Flemish Culture Award for Architecture in 2017 and the Golden Medal to the career of Milan Triennale in 2018. In 1990 she founded Studio with Bernardo Secchi, working on projects and visions in Europe. Since 2015 StudioPaolaViganò has won several international competitions and works mainly on public spaces and on urban and landscape projects.
