Japanese Government Scholarship
2 years master program international graduate course

The scholarship is sponsored by Japanís Ministry of Education,
Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT). The scholarship
is for the 2 years master program at Tokyo Institute of Technology,
Department of Architecture from October 2017 to 2019.

The scholarship provides round-trip air fare costs to Japan;
a monthly stipend; application, admission, and tuition fees.
The monthly stipend is 148,000 JPY (around EUR 1.290 
*Rate: 2016.0
9) for Masterís Program students.

The program is characterized by three points:
1) International students can study modern architectural scene going on in Tokyo under the instruction of renowned professor architects and professor of architectural history in one of the most prestigious architectural schools in Japan.
2) The classes are offered in English. Japanese proficiency is not mandatory.
3) Internship at an architectural firm run by world-famous architect in Tokyo for about two months.

requirements for applicants
Applicants with outstanding academic performance records are eligible to apply for this scholarship. Applicants must have bachelor degree by October 2017. Submission of English score (TOEFL, TOEIC or IELTS) is required for the official application documents. The application must reach the admission division of Tokyo Tech in 30.11.2016 by postal mail. After the selection in October it can be too late to take an English test and receive the score before the deadline. Preparing the score in advance is strongly recommended.

"The International Graduate Program offers a choice of seven English-language based curricular programs related to the 40 departments of Tokyo Institute of Technology and enables students to obtain a Master's or Doctoral degree. Therefore, Tokyo Tech requires all IGP(overseas application) applicants whose first language is not English to take the official score of TOEFL-iBT, TOEFL-PBT, TOEIC or IELTS-Academic module within two years before the application deadline as the certification of their English proficiency and submit the score with other application documents by the application deadline.(original, no photocopies) If you have any questions,please contact the Admission Division. Please be aware that score sheets from the TOEFL-ITP, TOEIC-IP and other tests conducted on a special group system are NOT acceptable. "
